MARRIAGE-MINDED MEDIATION:

I provide marriage-minded mediation which is a unique approach to dealing with your marital conflicts.  I am simply a neutral party in helping both of you discover and explore your positions. We will attempt to reach a resolution using proven conflict management techniques.  This is not therapy.  I do not treat mental illness, but will refer as necessary.  I work from a wellness perspective, believing that two people in a healthy relationship will naturally experience conflict.  It is healthy and normal to do so.

I started out just doing divorce mediation, but I realized after working with hundreds of couples that sometimes they just needed help communicating and did not have the adequate skills to do so.  They did not necessarily want to separate or divorce, but they were out of ideas and needed some help and answers.
You may need a neutral umpire with new ideas providing a new perspective.
You may be thinking about divorce and want to process it with an unbiased expert.

Marriage-minded mediation may be appropriate for you if you are experiencing any of the following:

  • You are not looking for therapy. (I will refer you to one if this is requested or needed) 
  • You have your own therapist but want a neutral conflict expert to help you and your partner communicate.
  • You need some help bridging communication with your spouse.
  • Your relationship has been having some conflict over financial issues, emotional, kids, family... you name it... it happens and it is normal!                                                            
     


What is Coaching? 
My coaching approach is different from many others in that I use my expertise and experience as a former Superior Court Mediator and Child Custody Evaluator to help show you your realistic options.  My goal is to be an agent of reality.  My
approach is honest and I may not promise you the moon, but I can guarantee you it is better to have a realistic but very
supportive coach from onset.  I cannot tell you how many people tell me they were confused about their divorce proceedings. 
They do not know what happened or how they came to the outcome they did.  I am here to not let this happen.  Your understanding
of the process and participation in every decision is key
